Samsung Galaxy Buds case exposed, closed

Since Samsung renderings Galaxy Buds Plus just a few weeks ago, additional information surfaced regarding the company's latest addition to its true line of wireless headphones. This information comes from SamMobile, citing "reliable sources," and it presents both good and news.

The good news is that the latest Galaxy Buds will earn its Plus suffix in part thanks to the increase in battery size. The Galaxy Buds Plus should vibrate an 85mAh battery compared to the Galaxy Buds"58 mAh battery. This should give Buds Plus a total usage time of 12 hours on a single charge. On top of that, we expect Samsung to have made solid improvements in sound quality and calls to these headphones, which is a welcome upgrade.

Unfortunately, there is also bad news. For those of you who want Samsung to add active noise cancellation to the Galaxy Buds Plus, you will be disappointed to know that this is likely not to be the case. This is especially disappointing considering the latest true wireless offer from Apple – the AirPods Pro – has a fairly reliable ANC. The Galaxy Buds Plus's design should provide adequate passive noise cancellation, but that still doesn't make up for the lack of ANC, which is a feature that many users want and expect from high-end headphones and earphones.

We expect Samsung to launch the Galaxy Buds Plus next month at its Unpacked 2020 event, and then we will find more information. Samsung is also expected to launch the next flagship phones this year – the Galaxy S20 series – at the event, so stay tuned for more Samsung coverage in the coming weeks.
