2019 comes and goes without launching a Pocophone F2. We had the Redmi K20 Pro which was kind of like a Pocophone F1 successor, but it didn't look the same. Now, however, we have solid evidence that there could be an F2 Pocophone in 2020.

As spotted for the first time by a Twitter user @_the_tech_guy (h / t GSM Arena), Xiaomi has filed a trademark application for a device called Poco F2. If you remember, Xiaomi marks the Pocophone F1 as Poco F1 in India, so a request for a Poco F2 brand makes perfect sense.

This news follows the head of Pocophone Alvin Tse tweet a message now deleted declaring that we will "hear more Poco in 2020".

If a Poco F2 is being prepared for 2020, it will likely come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, since the Poco F1 came with Snapdragon 845 when launched in 2018. However, the Snapdragon 865 chipset integrated 5G, which would probably make the Poco F2 much more expensive than the Poco F1 at $ 300.

It is possible, of course, that the Poco F2 can launch with a different chipset in order to keep the price as low as possible.

In the end, we have very few details or even solid rumors regarding the Pocophone F2. All we know at this point is that the head of the company has promised that we will see something related to Poco in 2020 and that Xiaomi has registered a trademark for the name.
