Apple Shares Make Warren Buffett Even Richer

In recent years, billionaire Warren Buffett has invested heavily in Apple, via the multinational conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway. Berkshire Hathaway now owns 5.5% of Apple’s shares, which is worth $91.3bn. This is an increase of $55bn compared to a year ago.

In fact, 43 percent of Berkshire Hathaway’s shareholding consists of Apple shares, reports The Motley Fool.

Since the turn of the year, Apple’s share has risen by 24% and recently reached a peak of $375.85, so Warren Buffett has every reason to be happy with his investment.

Buffett is hardly the only billionaire to benefit from investing in Apple. Earlier this year we reported on Bill Gates’ lucrative purchase of half a million shares, which promptly rose in value.

If you’d like to follow in Buffett and Gates’ footsteps (and remember that the stock market can go down as well as up in value!), here’s how to buy Apple shares.
