How To Watch The 30 Rock Reunion Special In The UK

It may have been a fair few years since 30 Rock last aired, but the cast are reuniting for a special one-off episode to coincide with the US-wide launch of NBC Peacock.

The 30 Rock upfront special will reunite cast members Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski, Jack McBrayer and others in what NBC is describing as “a first-of-its-kind all-audience upfront event.” The entire episode will be produced remotely with social distancing measures in place, and will feature a number of guest stars from other shows.

Uniquely, the episode will act as a backdoor preview to the 2020-2021 NBC TV lineup. Upfronts are usually just done for advertisers at a large-scale event, but because that isn’t possible the channel has decided to showcase their new material and talent through the art of sitcom.

The one-hour long show will air on 16 July 2020 on NBC first, and then will be available on NBC streaming platforms the day after, on 17 July 2020. The second is the way that users without a cable subscription will be able to tune in on-demand.

If you’re based in the UK and desperate to see Tina Fey and the gang reunite once again, then keep on reading. We also have our picks of the best shows coming to NBC Peacock.

We don’t know for sure whether or not this method actually works yet, as we haven’t tested it. NBC Peacock launches the same day as the 30 Rock reunion episode airs – so we’ll update this article to confirm the process then.

If you’re not in the US, then the best way to tune into the 30 Rock reunion special is through using the new streaming service Peacock, and a VPN.

VPNs (virtual private networks) change your IP address to make it appear as if you’re browsing from another country – in this case it would be the US. Our favourite VPN provider is NordVPN; with very reasonable pricing, a decent amount of servers and a user-friendly interface. ExpressVPN is also another good option.

Once you’ve chosen your VPN provider, you should then head over to NBC Peacock after 2am on 18 July 2020 (after it has been put live on Peacock in the US). We’re not sure what details you’ll need to access Peacock – some services such as Hulu require US billing details.

We don’t know yet whether 30 Rock will be on the free version of Peacock, or the premium. For reference, the free version shows broadcast shows on NBC within the next day, so in theory it should be on this platform. But once we know more, we’ll update this piece.

If it is on the premium version (which includes more exclusives), then this will set you back either $4.99 (around £3.80) per month for ad-supported viewing, or $9.99 (around £7.60) per month for ad-free viewing.

We should warn that this is technically against NBC’s terms of service, so the company could terminate your Peacock account if you use this method.

For anyone in the US with a cable subscription, you can tune into the 30 Rock reunion on NBC on the 16 July 2020 at 8pm ET, according to Variety. It will then be syndicated on USA, Bravo, E!, Oxygen, SYFY, CNBC and of course Peacock on 17 July 2020 from 9pm ET.
