Oppo is officially launching the Find X2 and Find X2 Pro in the UK this week with a livestreamed event featuring Nao and the Kaleidoscope Orchestra.
Oppo first unveiled the phones in February, with a livestream announcement to replace the reveal that would have happened at Mobile World Congress. At the time it only said the phones would release some time in May, and here we are with just a few days to go – cutting it close, Oppo.
With 120Hz displays, top specs, loads of lenses, and even a vegan leather finish on the Pro model, the Find X2 series is flagship through-and-through, and a genuine rival to this year’s Galaxy S20 phones.
We gave the Find X2 Pro four-and-a-half stars in our review, dubbing it “almost perfect,” so it’s exciting that the pair might finally hit store shelves soon.
When is the Find X2 UK launch?
The stream video kicks off at 1pm BST on Wednesday 27 May. It won’t last long either – Oppo says it should finish at about 1:30, so it’s perfect for lunch hour viewing.
How to watch the launch live
Oppo is streaming the whole event on YouTube – and luckily for you, we’ve already embedded the stream at the top of this page, so there’s no need to go anywhere.
What is the launch event?
We’re not entirely sure what to expect! We know it will involve a “musical collaboration” with singer Nao and the Kaleidoscope Orchestra, but what exactly that means we’re not sure.
We’re also expecting to finally find out when the Find X2 and Find X2 Pro go on sale in the UK, though we already know their pricing – £899 and £1,099 respectively.
Oppo has also promised “a few surprises,” so expect something other than the phones to make an appearance too. That long-awaited Oppo Watch perhaps?
