But if you’ve a subscriber that’s grown tired of the selection or just don’t have the money to spare in these difficult times, you’ll want to cancel that regular payment. Thankfully, it’s very easy to do. Here’s our quick guide to cancelling an Apple News+ subscription.
What is Apple News+?
If you’ve yet to use Apple News+ or on contemplating taking advantage of its free 1-month trial, think of it as a Netflix-style buffet of content from a newspapers and magazines. Over 300 titles are available on the service, with publications including The Atlantic, Esquire, GQ, Harper’s Bazaar, National Geographic, Newsweek, The New Yorker, Hello!, Q and FourFourTwo, plus a variety of national newspapers.

How to cancel your Apple News+ subscription on iPhone
iPhone users will need to open the Settings app then tap on your account name displayed at the top of the page. On the next page you’ll see the option for Subscriptions, so select this and you’ll be presented with a list of all your active and expired app subscriptions.
Tap Apple News+ then select the Cancel Free Trial (if you’re still within your first month) or Cancel Subscription option. This method will also work for iPod Touch users.
How can I cancel my Apple News+ subscription on my iPad?
The way to manage subscriptions on iPad is identical to that for iPhone. So, open the Settings app, tap on your account name then select Subscriptions > Apple News+ and tap either the Cancel Free Trial or Cancel Subscription option.
If you’re running iOS rather than iPadOS, you may find that the Subscriptions option isn’t available in your account. If this is the case, you’ll want to use the following method.
Open Settings select your account name, then tap on your Apple ID (it’s displayed at the top of the main pane). Tap View Apple ID, enter your password, then select Subscriptions > Apple News+ > Cancel Subscription.
How can I cancel my Apple News+ subscription on my Mac?
Launch the App Store then select your name from the bottom left corner of the page (or log in if you haven’t already). The main pane will now show the apps you have installed or purchased in the past.
At the top of the page you’ll see the option View Information. Click this and you’ll be presented with your account information. Scroll down to the Manage section then click the Manage option next to Subscriptions.
On the next page click the Edit button next to Apple News+ then select Cancel Subscription.
How can I cancel my Apple News+ subscription on my Apple TV?
Cancelling your subscription on an Apple TV is quite straightforward. Open Settings > Users & Accounts then click on your account. In the Manage section you’ll find Subscriptions. Select this, click on Apple News+ then select the Cancel Subscription option.
