Apple has announced that it will gradually start to reopen its stores around the world. Due to the security work on the coronavirus, the company had previously closed all 458 stores outside China.
On Saturday 18 April, the Apple Store reopened in Seoul, South Korea – the first outside China. That country has had great success in fighting coronavirus: markedly greater success, indeed, than in either the UK or the US.
The store’s opening hours will be adjusted to keep employees and visitors safe, and is expected to initially focus on support more than sales, although it’s understood that products will still be available to buy.
Apple has also previously said that it plans to reopen stores in the US in early May.
