How to watch NBA in the UK

The football season might be over for another year, but there’s plenty of American sport to feast your eyes on. After months of buildup, the NBA Finals are due to take place in the US and here’s how you can watch online in the UK. While the time difference is awkward, there are several ways for UK fans to watch the NBA Finals online. You might also want to watch the NHL in the UK

Update: While we were looking forward to the conclusion of the NBA season, all games have been suspended following a Utah Jazz player tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus. Via NBC news.

NBA Finals channel and streaming

This year, the basketball finals are no longer on BT Sport. Sky has got the rights to show it in the UK so you’ll be able to watch all the NBA Finals games on Sky Sports Arena.

If you’re already a Sky customer with sports channels then you can watch on various devices using services like Sky Q or Sky Go.

Don’t worry if you just want to watch the NBA Finals though, as you can use Now TV to avoid signing up to a full-on contract and getting a satellite dish installed.

Now TV is Sky’s streaming service and is available on a wide range of devices – over 60. You can get various Sky Sports passes ranging from a day to a month. You’ll simply get access for the time period you choose and it includes access to all the sports channels so you can watch more than the NBA.

Since the Finals could spread over two weeks, we’d recommend getting the Month Pass for £33.99. You might also consider the current offer of four months for £25 per month. Take a look at all the Now TV passes.

You’re other option is to use NBA League Pass which will cost you £24.99. Just bear in mind that this is only for watching NBA, where Now TV has the Sky Sports channels.

Watch from abroad

If you want to watch from outside the UK then you’ll need a VPN to do so. The virtual private network will allow your device to effectively be browsing from the UK.

We recommend NordVPN and ExpressVPN, but you can read more about VPNs and choose one from our selection of the best VPNs here.
