How to Watch Huawei P40 Launch Live Stream

It’s no secret that Huawei is about to launch its P40 smartphone range by way of a virtual online event. Here’s how to watch the live stream video to get all the news as it happens.

Huawei is going through an odd time with the lack of Google Mobile Services on its devices but the P40 range looks like it will pack a serious photography punch. The event follows the launch of the Huawei Mate Xs folding phone.

When is the Huawei P40 launch?

Like the P30 launch event, the P40 launch is on the exact same day – 26 March at 2pm CET so that’s 1pm GMT if you’re in the UK.

How to watch the P40 live stream

With the coronavirus outbreak, there is no physical event somewhere like Paris or London that people can attend, so this virtual online only event means you’ll need the live stream more than ever.

We’ve embedded the video at the top of this page so simply come back later today and enjoy the show.

What to expect from the Huawei P40

As usual there are plenty of leaks giving us an idea of what the P40 will bring to the table. However, so many rumours mean that it’s a little unclear what will actually happen.

There are possibly three main models being the regular P40, a P40 Pro and then a P40 Premium Edition (or P40 PE). Whether Huawei will go with this naming system remains to be seen.

It’s possible there will also be a P40 Lite but this might not come to the UK.

We can assume that the P40 range will be powered by the already announced Kirin 990 processor and leaks suggest that the screen refresh rate will double to 120Hz.

What is clear is that Huawei will be really highlighting the photography skills of the P40 range. The event is tagged as #VisionaryPhotography after all.

We’re talking, accourding to rumours, things like a 50Mp sensor, a 40Mp sensor and lenses with up to 10x optical telephoto zoom.
