The Google Play Store summer sale 2017 has now launched. From today until July 6, you’ll be able to pick up a whole range of discounted apps, books, and music, while you’ll find discounted TV shows and movies right up until July 13. Google announced the bonanza earlier today and highlighted some of the deals you’ll be able to find.
You can temporarily rent a movie for $0.99, including new releases like CHiPs, Get Out and The LEGO Batman Movie (this deal has been extended rather than being a completely new idea in this sale). Meanwhile, you’ll find 50% off select TV box sets.
You’ll also find up to 80-percent reductions on a number of premium games:
Rounding things off is a 50- to 80-percent price drop on ebooks, and you’ll find steep discounts on apps and app subscription prices too. Specific MP3 and album discounts weren’t discussed, but the “four months free” Google Play Music subscription offer from the end of May remains in place.
