Back in February, Xiaomi took the wraps off the Redmi 4X. The smartphone was initially only available in two variants: a model with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage or a version with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage.
Xiaomi has just announced another variant of the device. The Redmi 4X is now also available with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. It retails for 1,099 yuan, which is around $160, and it comes in Champagne Gold, Cherry Blossom, and Matte Black. For comparison reasons, the model with 3 GB of RAM costs 899 yuan (around $130), while the 2 GB model retails for 699 yuan (around $100).
Aside from more RAM and storage, the rest of the specs remain the same. The device sports a 5-inch 720p display and is powered by the Snapdragon 435 chipset. You’ll find a 13 MP primary camera on the back and a 5 MP selfie snapper on the front.
The Redmi 4X ships with Android Marshmallow on board with Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 user interface on top. Other features include a fingerprint scanner located on the back, a metal body, dual-SIM support, and a 4,100 mAh battery.
